In The News a ‘female-friendly' auto repair shop
By Jessica Trufant / For The Item PEABODY -- After her husband John died from heart disease in August 2008, Diane Larson took over the Peabody shop they opened together in 1987, Larson's Automotive Service. Having learned everything automotive from John, Larson's challenges any misconception that women can't thrive in the car business. "At training events and trade shows people always assume that I'm the wife, not the actual shop owner," said Larson. "They just assume that women don't know a thing about cars, but there's some very talented women doing this work." |
